Congregation B'nai Torah is a caring, inclusive Reform community that embraces Jews by birth, Jews by choice, interfaith couples and families, and the LGBT community. We celebrate our diverse forms of Jewish identity by providing cultural and social activities and honoring Jewish traditions. B'nai Torah provides a spiritual and social sanctuary that allows members to maintain their own personal connection with Judaism.
We impart to our children the knowledge of Jewish life through quality education and Torah study, as we prepare them for a deeply meaningful, personal and customized B'nai Mitzvah and beyond. We inspire them to further explore their Jewish identity, as well as celebrate Jewish life. Beyond a one-day-a-week religious school, our youth group encourages our pre-teens and teenagers to continue their Jewish journey and helps them build new friendships throughout their school years.
For our adults, we nurture life-long learning, emphasize social connections and foster personal growth. We are a lay-led congregation in partnership with the spiritual leadership of our rabbi. Our members have a meaningful voice in setting the Congregation's direction. We encourage and expect active participation, volunteerism and community service from all members, in support of activities, as well as to help those in time of need.
